The purpose of Linetec is to finish customer’s metal according to the specified standards.

Linetec Paint critical quality parameters and testing:

Color uniformity, specular gloss, and dry film thickness are monitored and measured in accordance with the current revisions of AAMA 2605, AAMA 2604, AAMA 2603, and internal standard operating procedures.

Linetec has established and maintains records that provide evidence that finished material has been inspected and/or tested. These records show clearly whether the finished material has passed or failed according to defined acceptance criteria. Where the finish fails to pass any inspection, the material is reworked as applicable. If rework is not possible, the customer is notified and the item is returned as rejected with the specific deficiencies noted.

Quality Control of Paint Coatings

Through the use of our five-stage chrome pretreatment system and highly automated paint line, Linetec is able to produce top quality finishes with consistent results.

With this technology and our Quality Assurance team inspecting every job for color, mil thickness, appearance and multiple other performance specifications, you can be assured of the best finish possible.

RUNning test panels with project material

AAMA specification tests are conducted on these sample panels to ensure a quality product. The test results are kept on file for future reference. Some of the tests performed include:

  • Impact resistance
  • Adhesion
  • Mil thickness
  • Acid resistance
  • Mortar resistance
  • Pencil hardness

Test panels are periodically submitted to the paint vendor laboratories for additional testing. Strict performance criteria are required to maintain status of Approved Applicator for each paint manufacturer.

Rigorous performance testing in south florida’s WEATHER exposure

Multiple rigorous performance tests determine whether a coating meets or exceeds a specific AAMA specification. The weathering performance test is one of the test methods and performance criteria applied to the AAMA 2605 specification.

Paint manufacturers have monitored product on a south Florida test fence for more than 40 years. Samples are placed on the fence at a 45-degree angle facing the strong tropical sun and environmental exposure. One year on the test fence equals approximately 2 ½ years of more temperate exposure

Linetec is a longstanding AAMA member. AAMA is the source of performance standards, product certification and educational programs for the fenestration industry.
